• can seem rather distant and aloof, hiding the fact that she's somewhat shy.

NOTHING LASTS FOREVER THAT'S THE WAY IT'S GOT TO BE rin isn't the easiest person to get to know. she acts rather aloof and doesn't like to talk about her personal feelings or her past, mostly because she feels uncomfortable and self-concious when talking of herself. however, she is a great listener, and she's good at keeping other's secrets. once you warm up to her and she becomes more open, rin makes a loyal and dependable friend. however, you have to put up with her sometimes bossy personality. she's very protective and misses her sister, akiko, so she'd also be willing to act as a mentor and older sibling figure for anyone younger than her, since she tolerates them more than people her own age. she's very polite and somewhat formal when meeting people for the first time. THERE'S A GREAT BLACK WAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA due to her sometimes arrogant demeanour, rin is the kind of girl who makes enemies easilsisal though she jokes about being egotistical, she actually can be quite self-centred, often annoying others. she finds it hard to like people immediately and may be mistrustful or judgemental. some people just rub her the wrong way and she doesn't get along with them. in general, it's easier for her to do things solo, so if anyone tries to tell her what to do she gets angry. people who don't get her sense of humour may become offended by her as well. rin can be very vengeful if you wrong her or her pokémon, and she hates to lose. she likely has rivals who she competes fiercely with, and if any of them beat her she'd hold a grudge against them for ages. YOUR LOVER WAS FOR HIRE HAVE YOU NOTICED HE IS LATE? when it comes to romance, rin acts like a completely different person. although she can be affectionate in her own way, using gentle teasing to show her fondness for others, overt love unconsciously freaks her out. she gets extremely nervous around flirts, but hides it by unleashing her anger or snide comments, and they might even get a whack on the head if they ignore her warnings. on the other hand, she might use the attraction to her advantage to get what she wants from someone, teasing them by playing with their hearts. if someone were to take a more gentler approach to wooing her, however, she'd get very bashful and flustered. intimacy is something that scares her. if she were to fall for someone, however, they would have to be someone who could handle her strong personality. she'd never fall for a complete stranger, but might with a close friend that she trusts. |

I suppose I shouldn't call leon a kid, since he's almost my age, but males seem to be generally lacking in the mental development process anyway. so his maturity level is probably around the same level as me when I was about twelve. well, he might be sort of... endearing, in that rediculous teenage boy way. then again, he's also sort of annoying, in that same rediculous teenage boy way. but I guess I should be sympathetic towards such males and the hormones screwing with their minds and bodies. poor things can't decide if they love me or hate me. but I digress. for some reason, leon just makes me want to do anything I can to prove I'm better than him. although I'm confident that my mental superiority and drive to win will help me totally own the guy, he definitely won't go down without a fight. and surprisingly, I'm looking forward to that. let the games begin.

• replace the image url with an icon of your character.
• fill out full name/age/gender/sexuality
• fill out position, i.e. trainer, breeder, gym leader, etc.
• use this area to write a brief summary of what your character thinks of mine. it can be written in either third or first person, though first is preferable.
• if you want to add something else, such as plot ideas or any questions, go ahead and write them outside of this table.

Of course we haven't known each other that long but you seem like an admirable rival (did I mention beautiful?) for me and I can't help but have this drive to beat you. Yes, you possibly have more experience than me but that just makes me want to push harder to beat you. In other words, I think from first sight I might have a little bit of a crush on you, not that someone like you would care for a laid-back but brave-ish guy like me. I guess you might consider me a friend or something but that's not how I want it to play out..well, I guess that's it.
(OOC- I put Rival/Crush because I'm kind of obliged to be your rival as far as the canon slots go. I figured, 'Why not make it an interesting rivalry?'. So that should clear up any confusion, if there's anything I missed feel free to ask. We can plot more later, perhaps?)

yeah, so, I wrote how rin views leon in my post above. she's kind of half-joking. and at the same time dead serious. xD
anyway, I really like the whole rival/crush thing you've made for your character, since I could really see that happening. rin might not admit it, but even though she hates having people (in general) flirting with her, she likes having that sort of power to make guys attracted to her, despite not usually returning the feelings. hence people both loving and hating her. so, a crush/rivalry kind of grudging admiration makes sense. as for rin's view, I think she'd be semi-aware of the crush, or at least be self-centred enough to assume as much. and she'd flaunt her haughty personality around him and be like, "I'm a sexy badass and will most definitely win ohyeah... now in the meantime, let's have a cordial conversation" and just try to mess with him. it might not work at all on him (since he seems like the kind of guy who could hold his own against her), or it might actually work, yet she'd still persist at it. but the reason she does it anyway is because she's mildly worried that he'll actually have enough drive to beat her. not that she'd ever tell anyone that. and sorry for rambling.
anyway, this sound like it'll be interesting, so we should definitely work out sone plot ideas soon. C:
(I forgot to actually explain the whole box system, but it's all my fault for not telling you, so you did like two tiny things wrong. and my system is kind of confusing anyway, so you don't have to change anything if you don't want to, since you did all the important stuff right anyway. my bad, sorry >.<)

ah yes. it took me a while to think of something that'll make this interesting for me right now. Do you have an MSN and can I get your time zone so I'm not always off when you get on? But, so far I think we have a good sketch of the relationship between the two at the moment even though it took me a bit too long to decode your post as my vocabulary is tiny and it is most definitely interesting. Feels more like a Fry/Lela thing if you watch Futurama. Leon is generally a lazy S.O.B so she is actually his drive to actually do something. annoying probably describes the mass list of corny jokes i've made for him. i'm so maliciously evil.
