{ character info } GENERAL PERSONALITY.
On the outside Wesley is a happy and carefree individual. There's usually always a cheerful expression on his face when in the company of others, though exactly what it means varies depending on the situation. It's rare that he shows if he's irritated, upset, or annoyed to anyone, usually a sigh being the only sign that he's displeased. Things seemingly just run right off of him. Wesley doesn't say much besides light and joking comments, rarely giving his own opinion unless asked for it. In fact, he's perfectly fine with saying little at all. He does, however, like to be vague when he does speak, and never outright says what he means. Everyone is treated with a neutral sort of respect. Wesley neither hates nor cares for anyone, and would rather ignore those he doesn't wish to associate with than strike up a false conversation.
Overall, he's really not an expressive person, preferring to keep things hidden from others, and is, in fact, very cynical. He has a distrust of people and never believes their words or motives. Wesley has a high believe that everyone only does things for their own benefit, never for others, and that anyone saying so is a liar. He keeps his thoughts and opinions to himself, though, not because he's afraid of confrontation, but because he merely doesn't care enough to say them. He's more of a follower than a leader, and dislikes having to give people orders and being responsible for them. However, he will if he absolutely has to. Wesley even does little to get himself noticed because of it. He'd much rather blend into the background and observe.
He treats Pokemon the same way he treats people, if not a bit rougher. Wesley has no love, respect, or loyalty towards Pokemon, whether they be his own, someone else's, or wild. There's no compassion towards any Pokemon, and they're easily replaced if their use isn't needed. That said, he knows better than to abuse and compromise their assistance. The same goes for people. Wesley keeps them at arms distance, finding it hard to trust others. With his inability to trust others, Wesley finds it hard to work together in a team, often making his own little changes without warning and leaving others to fend for themselves. He believes strongly in 'the strongest survive', even going so far as to attack other TR members should it prove beneficial to him. Wesley loves challenges of all sorts, whether they be mental or physical, though mental is more appreciated.
Despite all of the above, he does have a rather dark attitude on things. He's a pessimist through and though, having no faith or trust in humanity, and always looking on the darkest side of things. It's hard for him to even admit that there's a good thing in life. Wesley is quick to say that there's no hope for one situation, and he refuses to fight an obviously lost battle, despite his love of challenges. It's this very mindset that allows him to quickly analyze a situation and come to a decision based on what outcome leads to the least failures. Like anyone else he hates having to break down his pride and reputation, but he will if it means his own survival. That comes first before anything else.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
Wesley, unlike some people, isn't what one might consider tall for his gender and age, hanging somewhere around 5'10'' in height, weighing in around 147 lbs. He's a leaner character, with not a lot of visible muscle or visible fat. His hair is silver with a slight blue tint to it, hanging around jaw length except for the back which is a bit longer. Wesley's hair is groomed into a presentable fashion. The majority of his bangs sweep to the left, covering his eye, while the rest of his hair tends to naturally curl outwards at the ends. His eyes are a nice red color, though a bit cloudy.
His style of dress mimics what could be considered a more Victorian-era style of dress with majority of the color being black, with accents of white and purple. Though he doesn't always were the fancier clothes, long necks and sleeves are always a must. Wesley is really open to wearing just about anything as long as it's weather and situation appropriate.

HISTORY.
Wesley was born to a poverty-stricken family in Matsu City. His mother and father could barely afford to feed themselves, let alone him, and any money they managed to mooch from his elder brother rarely went to anything useful. It was a pitiful existence for the young boy, and both parents often abused him as a way to relieve their frustrations. The only thing he had to look forward to were the occasional visits his brother made and the stories he heard about Pokemon Trainers and their travels. However, his trust in people had already begun to slip. With a lack of money Wesley often had to suck up any sickness and wait it through. It wasn't the best option. One such incident left him with an eye infection. Without the money to get it treated properly it got worse and worse as he grew older. Eventually it started to rob him of his eyesight. Doorframes were not his best friend at that point in time.
When he was ten he started talk of wanting to be a Pokemon trainer. They dismissed this talk, not having the funds to send their youngest son out on an adventure, and there were still some parental instincts floating around. However, things were just getting worse and worse for the family, and at the page of eleven, Wesley ran away from home. He thought it could make it to where his brother was staying things would be fine. He never found his brother, and instead an older lady brought him home. His parents were furious at him. The old lady said that she didn't have any grandchildren and wouldn't mind paying for Wesley to start his Pokemon journey as long as he helped her around her house and with errands. The boy happily agreed.
For the next year he went back and forth between the old lady's place and his own, helping her clean, helping her bake, and helping her to any place she needed to go to. He enjoyed the time he spent with her. When he had saved up enough money Wesley was happy as all hell. He could finally start his Pokemon journey! Unfortunately, his parents tried stealing his money for their own uses, saying that he was their son and he owed them for their tolerance of him. A little twelve year old boy versus his two parents never ends well, and Wesley was left with only a handful of the money he had worked hard to earn. He packed up his things and left that night.
He only had enough for a few Pokeballs and a little food. The boy worked hard to catch his first Pokemon and learned to live off of the land by watching the wild ones. His first Pokemon was a Rattata, and the two formed a close bond. Working even harder to train his Pokemon, he started battling to earn money. His strength grew as well as his team. He was doing a little bit better with each passing month. Eventually, he stumbled across a trainer that wanted to accompany him on his journey. Having no real interaction with kids his own age, Wesley didn't know what to do, but she pushed her way into his company. The two became close friends, and for three years they traveled together.
Until one winter. While crossing a frozen lake the ice cracked and broke beneath him. Unable to swim, he floundered around in the water. His friend didn't even try to help him, and the Pokemon he had outside of their Pokeballs refused to help as well, scared and unable to get close enough. The other trainer ran off, his Pokemon following her or going different directions. The cold and some water-filled lungs caused Wesley to fall unconscious. He was saved by a passing-by stranger. Despite what good-will the man showed towards Wesley during the time the boy was in his care Welsey refused to acknowledge the man, in a state of depression from his friends abandoning him. Any trust he had towards humanity was broken.
In the end he decided to return home. It was the only place he could go to. Upon getting back to Matsu City he was in for another round of abuse, both emotionally and physically when he found out the old lady had passed away while he was on his journey, and when his father beat him for running away. Wesley found out that the old lady had left some money to him, her 'adopted' grandson. He reacted oddly neutrally to the information, taking the money and leaving as soon as he could. He had see a dark side to humanity and wasn't going to forget it any time soon.
For years he traveled around again, catching more Pokemon, keeping them and everyone else he came across at arms length to keep himself from getting hurt again. Everywhere he went Wesley was quick to find any ulterior motives and bad things, developing a pessimistic view on life. He learned that putting on a false smile and slinking through places unnoticed was the best way to keep himself from getting into trouble. Eventually he heard rumors about a group called Team Rocket. While the group wasn't exactly unknown it was the first time Wesley had given any thought to Team Rocket. Figuring at least they admitted that what they did was for their own gain, he joined out of nothing better to do. That was fourteen years ago.
Over the years he spent with Team Rocket Wesley grew in strength and had many opportunities to take on a powerful role within the organization. He refused every time. Instead, he became a Team Rocket Elite, not a grunt, but nothing that put him where he was uncomfortable. That's where he stands now, working for Team Rocket, not really caring what sort of organization they are or what they did. Hey, it was something to do.
