{[/i][/size][/color] character info } [/right][/font][/color][/size]GENERAL PERSONALITY. Prideful, hard to deal with, stubborn, easily angered. Those are a few things to be said about the Leader of the Flying Gym, Alexander. Well know for his agressive nature and angered temper, Alexander is a cleary pridefull person. He was born and raised a royalty, he behaves as royalty, thinks as royalty and acts as royalty. He shows not a care in the world for anybody – not even his pokemon.[/b]Even though he wasn't always like this.He wants to win and only looks to the strong, those who are supposed to be on his level. With that rough nature he demands and he wants whatever it is right on the spot. He trains his pokemon, and have tamed most of them that way, without mercy, until pure perfection. He, also, have been, for many years, doing the very same thing to himself and to his body. Though uncaring and cruel, he is very fair, the rule that applies to his pokemon, might apply to him too.
Alexander is still a “quick to explode” person, though now that behavior only comes to the surface when he thinks he is wasting time in being calm or when he doesn't consider the other person. When young he really had no patience, and it had taken it's tools on him, both on battles and on his haunt for wild pokemons, giving him part of his scars. Now, he doesn't explode that easily, keeping quiet and/or calm most of the time, even in a battle. He is still easily angered, but through the years he has learnt how to deal with this anger, and turn it into strengh. He has also learnt as how to not let his pride become his worst sin, and an enemy.
Stubborn as he is, once set for something, nothing or nobody can stand on his way. He has also learnt to think hard and ponder the pros and crons of a decision before heading straight to it like a infuriated bull. With such strong personality, he tends to hurt people and scare most of them away, though some actually come to respect him for who he is. Though cruel, uncaring, stubborn and mean, he is far from an unfair person. He has a strong idea of what a real man (or even woman, for the matter) is, someone who accept the responsabilities as well as the merits of his actions, one who never backs away. He despise cowards with a fierce hatred. Alex is very good in judging people, with a glance and in just a moment he is able to know what a person really is.Some say that he passes this judgement in the trainers who come to his gym, going harder on those who he considers unworthy or cowards.Thus why some people gain his respect or are despised by him in a matter of seconds after their first encounter.
Other than that, the prideful King Dragon, as he is called, is a free spirit. He is incapable of standing still in one place while waiting for someone or something, he will fly away without bonds or the promise of coming back, leaving as the rest of the world watches. Anybody who dares to try and hold him in one place against his will is going to find a quick and painfull end. Extremely territorial, he will always try to protect his land, the place where he belongs. He, by nature, takes the spot of the “alpha male”, it's merits and responsabilities, protecting those on his territory. He is attached to just anything that has wings and can fly, specially to the beings that are as territorial and dangerous as him.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION. A tall, mean looking man with short hair, feathers on his hair and lots of scars. That's Alexander's basic description. He is, in fact, a very handsome man. Tall – around 1,88 meter (around 6'3'') – and well built, Alexander seems to be just about the dream of most girls on the perimeter of Ichii town – and even outside. His short black hair falls in front of his eyes at times, on the hair on the back of his head he has feathers. Those feathers were taken from many pokemons, thus their different colors and textures. His skin is tanned and marked with many scars. His eyes are of a deep crimsom.
Young as he is, Alexander's body shows the signs of a life of intensive training and the hard times of taming pokemon. His tall and well built body has on it's scars many stories to tell. Some of those scars are in plain sight on his face, others are on his limbs, but most are on his torso and specially on his back. Aside from his mean looks, Alexander has a very strong stance, his pride reach extremes and his stance shows it quite well. He is always looking people from above, usually staring holes right into the person with his bright red eyes.
Alexander's style goes from very formal to informal, depending on the situation. Though, he always show in that style that he is the one with the power – just like in his house and the gym, everything is made to enlarge his pride as the Flying Gym Leader and show his status – and stands above everyone else. No matter what. His clothing is, though, mostly marked by histight leatherblack pants and the feathers that usually appear on his belts. Also, aside from what can be seen, Alexander has a strong and deep voice, it holds a menacing and secure tone. When angered or determinated his voice raises, the tone drops to a deeper one and he sounds even more secure.

He is actually the reason as to why Maria doesn't trust trainers anymore, she became that hardcore once she learnt that he used a whip to tame wild pokemon.
HISTORY. Alexander Draco Roy Von Alatus was born into the Alatus family, the family of the leaders of the Flying Gym, in Ichii Town. He was a spoiled royal brat from a royal family. From a very young age he showed signs of a strong personality and a lack of patience that would, later on, build his fame. He was raised having his pride being feed by everyone near him, he was the only child of his parents, he would become the Flying Gym Leader one day. He had what he wanted, when he wanted. And he would only have the best. The best toys, the best clothes, the best books, the best food, and the best pokemon. As it was a tradition in the family, he got his first pokemon – that would be with him for the rest of his life – when he turned 6.
A spoiled brat, Alex wasn't all that found of the small Pidgey. It was too tiny and too docile, Alex, even as a child, had that sense that told him that the best pokemon were out there. Wild, just waiting for someone to come for them. They were waiting for their match. He wasn't willing to stay there for too long. His family was royalty in the city, they were different from the others, they had it all, they had blue blood, but it wasn't enough for him. There was a entire world out there, he wanted to see it. His family though, was very found of old old traditions. They said countless times that just the flying type pokemons from inside of Ichii Town were enough. For them, the world was rotten and the town was blooming. But Alex still wanted to go out. He had to do this on his own. They wouldn't kick their only child away, but the feeling would still be tense. And, at the age of 10, he left.
The outside world was big and wild and Alexander only had a Pidgeotto – that not too long ago was a Pidgey – and his recently aqquired whip. One would say that a child wasn't able to do much but Alex was able to pull it through. No place was too far, no pokemon to wild, no weather too bad for him. He might have been spoiled, but he knew how to survive. He was strong and wild himself after all. He walked around all places in search for interesting flying pokemons. He couldn't careless about what other type they were – differently from his family who remained strictly on Normal/Flying pokemons – as long as they had wings. Water/Flying, Fire/Flying, Poison/Flying, as long as they were interesting, he'd go for it. In many points he only realized they weren't just Normal/Flying type after having caught them.On those adventures he aqquired a part of his scars.
Alexander passed by many towns, some people recognized his surname, the family that owned the Flying Gym on Ichii Town, but never really was he mistreated. He always had the money to pay for whatever he needed, he never really had much problems. He spent years away from his home, on his last years he passed by a town where he met a girl. He already had a strong personality and not that many people were able to endure him, but she actually seemed to be found of him. But, he had to move on, to go back ot his house. He had to check on the Gym and on his family, and they promised they'd see each other again. So, he left. He was 15 by then.
Back at home, he didn't recieve the most affecionate welcome, but he was escepting it. His father was still the Gym Leader, strict as ever, his mother was the same, with her “blue blood” issue, his grandfather though, had died. He spent most of his time in separate from his family, taming his wild pokemon with his whip and getting new scars. Not too long after he came back hom, Kanna, the girl he had met while outside of the town, appeared. She settled in the town and it didn't take long for their relationship to develop, he was 17 – and so was her – when they began dating. His family, strict and with the idea that they were better than everyonelse, wasn't that fond of her, they didn't like her at all, an outsider would never be good enough for their children. Never would be enough to their only son.
Time passed by, his family didn't approve of Kanna, but Alex couldn't careless. His father retired, Alex was 19 when he became the Gym Leader. When he turned 21 he letf the town once again, this time he was headed to the place of a famous breeder, he was going to get a pokemon as a present for his girlfriend. At that time, the already well know breeder, Maria, still recivied trainers, and it was there that he found what he was looking for. A partially wild Charizard, big and strong. Even on the way back home it fought to get out of it's pokeball. Before actually giving it to her, he had a hard time trying to tame it. Most of his scars are from those moments. The Charizard hated him, for obvious reasons, but it seemed to have no problem with Kanna. Time passed by, Alex's and Kanna's relationship got more and more serious. Alex still dedicated himself to the “Cliff Gym” as the Flying Gym was know – for obvious reasons, it was located on the end of a cliff. But, when He was 25 something awfull happened. A wild pokemon attack Kanna, who didn't stand a chance. After her death, both him and her Charizard faced a heavy depression. Not only had Kanna died, but also one of Alex's pokemons, who was trying to protect her. Strangely, Alex and the Charizard ended up creating a bond, they still dislike each other but the Charizard ended up taking the place of Alex's late pokemon, they were both hanging on to each other, since they were the least memories of the person they loved so much.
Alex never really believed it. He knew that this wouldn't happen that easily and it was in such a great timing for his father. His own father... His mother had diead but that man... Well, justice never reached Alex's father as, on a accident, he fell from the cliff, the same one where the Gym was. Nobody was at fault, but Alex could have helped his father. He looked into the man's eyes but he felt nothing, he felt nothing as the man fell to never come back. Since that time Alex lost his goals and even fears. Differently from his late family, Alex was much more open about the world, much less bond to traditions, and surely, he knew that loosening the ties with traditions and letting modernity come was the best thing to be done. Alex would never be the same again but, he knew that he'd have to move on and, one day, the sky would bring him and Kanna together again.
