The General Rules

- Be respectful and polite: You've always got to remember that you are talking to another person, and to treat them respectfully. Discrimination, outlandish comments, and bullying will not be tolerated on this site. I'm sure you've heard the old saying, "Treat others as you wish to be treated." Well, that's the way it's gonna roll.
This also applies for debates, or what have you. If you can't state your opinion/criticism politely, you won't be stating it at all.

- Type appropriately: Grammatical errors are fine, everybody makes them, especially me. But, I don't want to see any of that l337 or Facebook-speak.

e.g: OUUH, YEW. IHT'S S0 NYCE 2 C YUU. YUU CUMIN' OVAH 2MA?

That is one of my biggest pet peeves, and I will notify you if it gets out of hand, even though I'd rather not.

- Censorship: I'm pretty lax with this one as I've got a rather colorful mouth myself. But, if you become a bit too creative, I will have to give you a little nudge. I won't run in and ban-hammer you or anything. But, keep in mind that this is PG-13, or at least supposed to be. Not everybody wants to hear those kind of things.

-Administration: Mugen wants you to come to her with all of your problems, questions, etc. I want to talk to you, that's why ISam made this forum! And, it's my job to ensure that you feel welcome here. I won't be a stiffer, and I'm not mean. I'm willing to listen to what you've got to say, otherwise I wouldn't be an admin. Oh yeah, you can talk to Samedi too. . . sam says what, why you gotta be like that THE SECRET PHRASE IS: what is Professor Oak's grandson's name? Anything goes, as long as it ends with 'Oak.'

-Pending Applications: So, you've got your character in mind, and you're ready to roll? Good, but I've gotta lay down some rules:

-Time Limit: Your pending character's got a clock. Two weeks to be exact. We want to make sure you're committed. Plus, abandoned characters eat up time and space.

-Status: Is your profile not complete? No problem. You can still post it in the Pending sub-category. Just remember to put some variation of WIP* in the subject. Also, if it's complete, you may reply to the thread to notify us. I don't want you to have to wait on us, so tell us when you're ready, okay?

-The Sues: You know what I'm getting at. Miss/Mister Perfect Pattie/Paulie. There's a line between a talented man and a perfect man. I like characters who have faults, adds a real feel.

-One per account: I know, I know. It's annoying, I don't like it either. But, it really does keep the site clean. There's no limit as to how many characters you can have.


-Approved Characters: So, everything's been checked and you've been approved? Awesome! Now, we can get to know you and your character better! But, unfortunately, this means more rules. You ready?
-God Modding: When you make your character specialized for owning noobs, or in other words, extremely powerful. Sorry, that's not allowed or appreciated here. Gotta keep it fair.

-Text minimum: Three hundred words, man. That's the minimum here. I know, it's a hard one to meet, and it's okay to be a little under. But, bad habits die hard. Don't make it one.

-Out of Character: You don't have to be in-character 24/7. Just keep in mind the general rules above, and you should be fine. If you're going out of character while posting IC, just put a little OOC or some variation of it at the top or bottom of your post.

e.g: And then. . . John was a zombie.
OOC:// I thought it was a pretty good twist. What do you guys think? Sorry for spelling errors!

Please abide by all of the rules listed above to the best of your ability. I'm not a harsh girl, but I can be one if you make me be one, not that I think you will.
