The cool mornings wind blew through Bards hair as he walked down the small hill heading towards the city. The suns light lit up the sky was many wonderfully colors. Today Bard had decided to wear a white tank top with baggy brown pants. The tank top seemed to be a little sight so it outlined his abs and chest and area. He smiled as he finished his cigarette. The winds blew the ashes away to the sky. Fai right behind him laughed before running down the hill. Bard let out a small chuckle. Lupus then thought about something. Today was the day to go meet his parents again. But did he want to? Would they want to see him?
All that thinking made him unknowingly light another smoke. With the cigarette between his fingers to took a breath in haling the harmful fumes. Before he knew it he was lost in thought and had already started walking into the city. He then shacked his head vigorously to get out of his trance and back onto the theme at hand, his parents. Everything was the same. The sidewalk, the stores, the people. Nothing had changed except for the people he went to school with. Across the street he saw Susan, she was in his class in the 4th grade but had to move away because of her parents brake up. He gave a wave to her. He could tell there were some girls looking at him from afar but he left them be for today. After all none could compare to Maria.
Down the street he walked as his pokemon followed him. He started thinking again. His parents would think him a fool, having a pokemon and working as a breeder. “Oh Son you must hate that job.” They would most likely say to him as they struck a half normal conversation that wasn’t about money. Fai looked at Lupus worried about something. So he ran off and stole some candy without them even noticing. He ran back and gave Lupus a piece of candy. He smiled and thanked him before sitting down on a bench in a bust community park near a small grade school.

It had been a while since he had been in this city. It would be a lie for Kouta to say he had missed it. Four years on his own and he hadn't once visited or called his parents. Four years on his own after they almost literally kicked him out of the house. He hesitated on the outskirts of the city, looking at the buildings stretching out before him. Was this really such a good idea? He could easily go around the city. It would take longer, and he would be without the supplies he needed and care for his Pokemon. The cons outweighed the pros, in this case.
Kouta sighed, shoving one hand on his pocket, the other scratching the back of his head. "Looks like I have no choice. Man, Lady Luck better be on my side today." With his free hand Kouta grabbed a Pokeball off of his belt, letting the little Emonga out of its confinement. He wasn't in the mood to draw attention with his Luxray walking beside him, though Bu wasn't much of a better choice with all the pranks the little Pokemon liked to do. Still, Bu settled on top of his head, patting Kouta's forehead a few times with a tiny paw. "I get it, I get it," the boy said with a smile. "No bad moods. Just... don't play with static again. Last time you did that I got slapped pretty hard." Just remembering it made his cheek hurt.
He trotted down the streets now, Bu riding on his head like a little make-shift hat. Kouta made sure to stay out of the areas he thought his parents would be in, not wanting to run into them this early on. Around the busy districts and to the park he went, glad when he didn't run into anyone that had recognized him. "So far so good." Cutting through the park was a pretty long way to get to the Pokemon Center, but it kept out of the busier areas and made for a pretty soon scenic route.
Being around people like this was reassuring after rarely coming across another soul besides Pokemon on his journey. Bu tapped his head a few times again before leaping off, gliding to the ground in front of a Denchura. The Emonga sniffed at the bug Pokemon, walking a circle around it, ears twitching. "Bu, what have I told you about personal space?" Kouta chided, scooping up his Pokemon and lightly tapping him on the head with his knuckles, not enough to hurt at all, just enough to get his point across. No apology was handed out to who Kouta could assume was the trainer of the Denchura. "Jeez, you're more of a trouble maker than Mik."

Lupus finished his smoke and let out a large sigh. The candy was sweet and a bit sour. It was ok he supposed but it wasn’t good enough. It wasn’t as sweet as Maria. Her eye; sweeter then candy, her personality like a color changing jaw breaker. For some reason Maria was on his mind. He laid his head back and looked at the clouds. His arms on each side of the bench stretched out and his legs crossed. His blues eyes looked lonely and yarned for something. He then looked at his little friend and pet his head as he whimpered. “Its ok buddy.” He smiled putting on a fake smile. The small pokemon jumped down off the bench and laid by his feet.
From out of no were he felt sudden electrical difference. Fai moved his eyes upwards to see a small chipmunk like creature. He just stayed laying down. The thing swooped down and started circling Fai for about no good reason. Fai looked stunned and a tad confused. He stood up and had a lost look on his. Lupus then looked down himself and had the same expression. Then a young man came by and gently picked up the pokemon. He tapped its noise lightly like trying to treat it manners. Lupus sat up nicely as the man started to talk.
He seemed to be telling the pokemon about personal space. Although Bards pokemon didn’t mind since they were chummy, it was good to teach a pokemon about that. Lupus looked the trainer square in the eyes. His face seemed serious. He then smiled nicely. “ You got a very active pokemon there. He seems to have a good connection to you.” [/b] Lupus said as Fai jumped up onto his lap and started to purr as Lupus stroked his head. “You don’t need to apologize. Hes a still fairly young and he will learn from his mistakes.” He said scratching the back of his head lightly. The wind blew through Bards hair making it move as much as it possibly good. The blonde hair reflected the light away. It seemed like it twinkled. His eye color seemed to make it like he was almost lifeless. He kept thinking of Maria and couldn’t get her off his mind. And then his parents would flip out about stupid things. “I’m Lupus and this is Fai by the way. Nice to meet you.” he said speaking nicely and looking at the pokemon in the boys arms. Manners were anything but what Kouta was chiding the little Emgona for. As much as he disliked being slapped for his Pokemon shoving god knew what down women's cleavage, Bu did get his trainer noticed, and that was a good thing at times. Besides that, Kouta didn't really mind the Pokemon's attitude and pranks. He just hated having to chase after Bu all over the place. Work and Kouta mixed together as well as Team Rocket and good deeds, and with the same amount of complaining, too. What the trainer had meant by 'personal space' was not to leave his. The less running around he had to do after the Emonga the better. ...Why had he let the little prankster out of his Pokeball, again?
The feeling of being watched caught Kouta's attention. He looked over at the man on the bench. This Denchura's trainer? Most likely. What was his problem, staring at Kouta like that? The teen blinked, two seconds away from making some smart remark, when the man smiled and said something about him and Bu. Kouta looked down at the Pokemon in his arms, Bu wriggling out of them and climbing back on top of his head. "Er... I guess? He's just a little troublemaker." Kouta didn't particularly think Bu and him had that good of a connection. The boy was closer to his Luxray than the Emonga, but it was still good to have someone notice whatever sort of bond the two had.
"Kouta and Bu." It wasn't out of politeness that Kouta gave his name. He couldn't care less about manners or anything of the sort. It was because a talk with someone sane who didn't come leaping out of lakes was something the boy had sorely missed. This guy didn't look like a local resident of Yanagi. Heck, he looked like he didn't belong outside of a kitchen, let alone in the city. What was even worse, he didn't look like he had a lot of money. Damn.
Bu squirmed around on top of the trainer's head. "Bu, hold still, will you?" But the little Pokemon couldn't, not with someone new around. Bu jumped off of Kouta's head again, getting a little irritated look from the boy, gliding to the bench. He sniffed at Lupus' clothing, dirty little paws touching everything they could. Personal space wasn't in the electric Pokemon's vocabulary, especially with all the sniffing going on. Kouta just sighed, placing his hands behind his head. "I swear, Bu..." His attention switched to the man, Lupus, quickly, though. "What's an old man like you doing in a place like this? Can't be too interesting unless you came for a view or the kiddies." Yes, Kouta had just made a pedophile remark. Did he care about what sort of reaction he would get? No, not really.

Lupus looked at the ground. The blades of grass dancing in harmony to the winds content. One after another they would move. He smiled to himself as he looked at Fai. Fai started to make sounds like purring. It was somewhat odd because he was a bug that was ok. The bug pokemon snuggled with Lupus for warmth. Its fur kept Lupus somewhat warm, the fuzzy fur made things that much warmer. His looked back to the sky while taking another puff from his stress reliever and then looked at the boy. The little pokemon seemed to be squirming around a lot. It wanted to do something. Something fun and wild, or so it seemed.
The boy seemed to be a little strict on the pokemon. Maybe a little to much, the pokemon still seemed to be a child. Just a little child who wants to play with people. It reminded him of his Luxray. That hyper pokemon always caused trouble for him, but he always shook it off and smiled. His pokemon were always taught to be nice and polite. He looked at the boy as he kind of struggled to get the pokemon under his control. For a moment before he seemed to be a little dazed but yet relieved of something. Lupus tapped his cigarette of the side of the bench so the ashes would fall off. The wind blew his hair somewhat in front of his eyes and made the fur on Fai move as well.
He then smiled at the boy and scratched the back of his own head. “it’s a Pleasure to meet you.” He smiled before tossing his cigarette onto the ground and stepping on it. The smoke stopped flowing and the flame was out. Lupus then sighed remembering his god danm parents. Ashamed of him and much more. They probably would hire a assassin to kill him if they could. Who ever would try to kill Lupus would be getting paid a large sum of cash. The more mysterious the better. On the other hand Lupus would love to see them both sick and die in his very arms, or by his own hands.
He snapped out of yet another trance to see the pokemon crawling on him. Fai moved and saw on the other side of the bench so the little pokemon could climb all it wanted to. Its little feet were dirty left foot prints on his white clothing. He smiled and laughed. “And this is why I have more then one pair. You know, you need more then one pair if you’re a breeder yah know.” He smiled while giving a small chuckled. Fai pouted and seemed to hiss at the pokemon. Lupus reached his hand down towards the spider and started petting it. It soon calmed it self down before falling into a little nap. A well needed one at that.
He then looked at the boy who made a pervy joke and thought he was old. “Im not old. Im only 21. But I suppose I can look older.” He laughed making a bit of a fool of himself. Fai was still fast asleep on the bench. “Sure Kiddes like you.” He redirected the joke to make it seem like the boy was younger then he really was. “ Naw, im kidding. Im visiting my parents that I hate.” Lupus said putting his head slightly down while clenching his fists. Lupus started to pet the small pokemon that was climbing all over him. “Hes cute yah know.”
[/b] He said giggling. ------------------------------- Word count: 699 [/blockquote][/size]

Being in this city was not doing anything good for Kouta's attitude. He had never particularly liked Yanagi City, despite having grown up in it. In fact, if Yanagi wasn't the closest place that offered a Poke'Center and shops to get needed supplies at Kouta wouldn't be caught dead anywhere near the city, let alone within the city limits. He wanted nothing more than to do what he came here to do and leave as quickly as possible. Kouta would admit, though, that he was enjoying the conversation, as full of standard small talk as it was so far.
Kouta smirked and chuckled. "Yeah. A pleasure. Sure." People always said the same thing. It was 'nice to meet' him and 'a pleasure' until he said one little thing they didn't like. It happened a lot more than Kouta cared to remember. Everything was always a pleasure in the beginning. He wasn't about to return the simple little pleasantry. Kouta didn't see a point in doing so. You never knew if it was a pleasure to meet someone until after you talked to them for a bit. Unless, of course, the one you were talking to was a beautiful lady. Then everything was a pleasure.
The trainer watched his Pokemon climb all over the other man. Bu got away with so much. It was why the little Emonga still caused trouble wherever it went. Kouta, despite the little comments he made, did little to stop the pranks and constant curious annoyances. He watched with a mildly amused look, wondering how long it would take for this man to get fed up with the little Pokemon. It seemed with Denchura, Fai, was already getting annoyed. But no. The man was a breeder, or so he said. Didn't breeders interact with different Pokemon on a usual basis? That kind of explained a few things.
Bu continued to sniff around, putting its front paws on Lupus' lap, nosing around any pockets it could find. He was a nosy and curious little thing, that was for sure, but for all the wrong reasons. Kouta hadn't been the best role model for the Emonga.
Meanwhile, Kouta shrugged, a faint hint of a smirk on his face. "Still five years younger than you, grandpa." A five year difference wasn't a lot, Kouta knew that, but he couldn't help the remark. This man did not look twenty-one at all. Then again, he may not look like his sixteen years. One thing caught his attention, though. Parents. Hated parents. That was something he could relate to. "Oh yeah? Your folks and my folks should get together and go bowling sometime." He shifted his weight to one leg, watching Bu press against the hand that was petting him, a happy look on the little electric Pokemon's face. "He's cute alright. Cute enough to attract some certain attention and get himself out of trouble."
Bu looked over his shoulder at the blonde haired trainer, a little impish grin on its face. The trainer sighed, but smiled. As much trouble as Bu got into, Kouta knew it was just the Pokemon trying to have fun at the expense of the safety and sanity of others.
