Looking back onto the glare of her Arcanine, she already knew she was lost. They had been walking on what felt like a mere hour, which really was only 20 minutes and couldn't find their way back. Letting Ayumi decide to pick the path they were going take, wasn't really the best of ideas, but Blaze being his slight 'push-over' self as Ayumi's parents, could never say to no to such request. Beside, Ayumi at first swear she knew where they were going... And already thought that holding Keichi in both her hands to illuminate around them, wouldn't make the adventure so trecherous at all! But alas, she, like most decisions, were wrong and as always her adventures in the new world, ended up being lost and having a frustrated Arcanine following you behind her back. Oh poor, poor, Ayumi.
<"I told you,"> Blaze began momentarily before grumbling softly at the one in front of him, irritated. <"We shouldn't have went this way. It's unsafe."> Even though Ayumi couldn't understand her partner's growls, (though the huffing she fully understood) she already knew that he was mad at her; ignorantly listening to only the thoughts of her curiosity and none of his lectures, it was obviously no surprise. With a short tremble at the darkness the trainer halted her movements, to spin around and look at her irked used-to-be Growlithe. "B-Blaze, e-eh... I know your m-mad at me, I-I know I should of listened, a-and i'm sorry! B-But I think... I think if we just kept walking more w-we'll find our way e-eventually..." Ayumi, now shivered looking at her surroundings hearing the wild pokemon in the air filling the cave with echoes and the obscure background musing it. "-H-Hopefully...Ack." To this, Blaze could only sigh, nudging his owner to go forward to continue walking. He'd more likely end up lecturing her again in his ways later, but the cave was to dark and unsafe really, to do anything, besides getting out; and that was really his primary goal. Anyway, Blaze didn't really know how to deal with the problem, either. Both being from a very... elegent housing had never really been in a real cave like this, and truthfully despite his outside persona, he was interested in the inside. So, frankly, he couldn't really blame Ayumi for being so curious on wanting to go any matter, right? Although him being mad, Ayumi couldn't really blame him for that, either.
Holding onto to Keichi tightly, (who was now just dazing off smiling as he cherished the surroundings) the three pals persisted their journey out of the cave, giving much close distance to each other as possible. No one, not even Blaze knew how and when they could get out of the cave. But with high spirits, they all hoped they would get out soon, and strongly before nightfall. And with that, keeping their both minds shut they tried to seem as quiet as possible, and kept moving on.

Really. She'd not been in a proper cave - and that hadn't been a cave but a well - since she was...since she was...Little! "It's so big!" she squealed, hands holding down the edges of the thick coat she wore. They'd been in there for over half an hour now. Thins were going just swimmingly. Marie laughed, shuffling forwards with tiny little steps so she didn't fall over anything (as she'd done earlier) as she made her way next to the slightly glowing path that Horace was leaving. He didn't mind the dark and neither did Victor. Though Victor was probably just having a good time sneaking up to the wild pokemon he could find and scaring them half to death with his big eyes. But it wasn't really a proper cave because it wasn't dripping and there wasn't nearly enough creepy noises for it to be scary. Caves just had to have scary noises and dripping ceilings! It was dark, though.
"Victor! Victor, get back here!" Victor was too busy to do that, though. He grinned, sharp teeth not even glinting in the dark as he continued on down the corridor in front of them. There was something else down there and he was going to find it. Marie pouted when he didn't appear around the corner as he usually did. Well, it had seemed like a good idea to send him forwards to make sure there was nothing big and scary around the corner. He just had to come back or they would be totally lost and he wouldn't be able to find them again...She sighed. This was horrible of him. She paused long enough to stamp her foot before scampering off after him, any thoughts about keeping her new coat clean forgotten in the sheer fun of having something to pull herself over and around. She was probably covered in cobwebs and dust now and smudged and everything. It was wonderful.
Victor giggled. Marie had always said it was far too human a sound to come from a Gastly, but still adorable. There was someone else here. Someone who was not his Marie. "Victor!" He grumbled. Well, with his Marie screaming in the background there was no way he was going to be able to scare them. Instead he floated into their ring of light just to grin at them. Three of them. "Victor!" With dexterity that a round ball of gas should not have possesed he twisted his face into making an impression of her cry, whistling before floating backwards. She was going to be so glad he'd found them.
"There you are! Where did you run off to?" Marie cooed, reaching out to pat him as he came closer. Horace just huffed and stopped, entire body slouching as he waited. He was getting fed up of being ignored, to be honest. Victor whistled and leant into the hand, schreeching about the person and her pokemon he'd just found. Sometimes Marie just wished she could understand him. "You're going to make me deaf - oh! Oh! Hello over there!" Peering she discovered the faint glow of light ahead, getting stronger, as it happened. "Are you exploring as well?"

Suddenly, Ayumi stopped her tracks as she walked and shivered after hearing a loud noise. Noticing her Arcanine wasn't complaining at her actions, she already knew she was going to be right about something. Someone was close to them. Ayumi looked in her surroundings nervously as Blaze with no warning jumped in the front mimicking his owner with even more precaution. "D-Do..Do you see a-anything?" Ayumi asked nervously as she was peering from the side of her pokemon. At first Blaze had said nothing and ignored Ayumi for a while still being alert on what was around them, but then once they both heard the calling of name, even Keichi begin to shiver in fear. "Victor! Victor!" The crying was getting louder and Ayumi and the squad was getting more and more uneasy.
It could have been a trainer, it could have been someone in help, it could have even been a ghost! So Ayumi had to be as eased, or at least tried to be eased as possible because it was too obscure to do anything riskily without getting a opposite effect. But while Keichi and Blaze were keeping themselves occupied by looking around, the owner of the two turned sideways and noticed a strange floating figure right in front of her with a strange expression on his face endeavoring out a cry. If how she was feeling now would appear on her face, Ayumi would have probably turned white; but since that is obviously impossible the only thing she did was simply let out a audible shriek scooting a few steps back, while her other pokemon was now alerted at the conflict. Blaze, nearly having a heart attack after the noise jumped back again in front of her growling at the thing, in the mode to prepare for a strike. He let out a few warning roars to scare it away, but then quickly stopped after noticing another more humanly figure come closer to the know, realized, Ghastly.
"W-What..." Still shivering Ayumi slowly went back in the front of her Pokemon to 'greet' the one who spoke. She looked innocent enough to trust for Ayumi, but as for Blaze he couldn't really trust her or her pokemon yet, after the incident from a few minutes ago, so he continued to let his growls softly speak out to set a warning for saying not to do anything else. Ignoring the girl's questions for a moment she pointed her shaking finger over at the shrieking Pokemon. "I-Is that...Y-Yours?" She asked blinking as she felt the Chinchou in her hands tighten his hold. Now Ayumi wasn't that frightened now since the Pokemon had an owner, but she was still worried on how everyone was going to react with each other.
"O-Oh....And yes. W-We're uh... K-Kinda lost..." As she blinked again hearing her still protective pokemon growl, she awaited on the other's reply next.

"Yup! This is Victor, he's not usually this loud - shh! - he's just trying to scare you, he's always trying to do that. And he - the Magcargo - is Horace!" She swatted at the Gastly, grinning much like he was. Neither of them had really noticed the Arcanine's growls - everyone in the cave must have heard the roar, but that didn't really bother her. Victor had that effect on people and she hated to deprive him of his fun. He got grouchy and a grouchy Victor meant that he played more tricks on her. She might like them but really, she didn't want tricks played on her. Let him scare other people instead if it kept him happy and away from making Lenny put buckets of water above doors (it had ruined her hair last time they'd done that!).
"Well, at least you're not really lost, then you'd be in a pickle," she giggled, clasping her hands in front of her again. Now that there were two pokemon giving off some sort of light, and she had to admit, the other person's Chinchou was doing a much better job of being a lantern, it was a bit easier to see. When her eyes weren't burning. After skulking around in the dark for so long with such a small amount of light the Chinchou was practically blinding. She almost considered asking the trainer to turn him down before realised her mistake with a giggle. "We can be lost together! Six heads are better than three, right? Though Victor won't really be of much help, he just scouts around to make sure I don't hit any dead ends -" Oh, she was babbling again. "And I'm Marie! It's a pleasure to meet you!"
There, now at least they weren't two strangers wandering around together. It wasn't exactly polite to wander around with someone without telling them your name. She didn't even consider the fact that the other girl might not actually want to go around with her...Maybe it was optimism. Maybe it was the fact she just dind't think that they'd say no. Six heads were better than three. Even if Victor was only a head and Horace's was a little small. "I don't suppose you'd consider going back the way you came, would you? Only I hit two dead ends and a hole behind me and it's a little colder in that direction, you look cold enough as it is! I'd offer you my coat, only it might be a little small and, oh, messy." It wouldn't do to have the other girl freeze on her, would it. With Victor finally quiet and contect to hover around behind her pulling faces at the Arcanine Marie shuffled forwards. A Gastly grin still on her face.

Oh, s-so that's why someone was yelling V-Victor! Ayumi sighed in relief. She was relieved it wasn't a ghost; well, a harmful ghost at least which went the same as she looked at the Ghastly. Although Victor nearly made her faint from his screeches she was still content he didn't, and he wasn't here for harm to anyone--just for pranks. Which could probably mean the same still in Blaze's eyes, though really what isn't dangerous in his? After a few moments watching the girl chirp and cheer optimistically she cocked her head over towards the other late introduced pokemon behind from her. Horace seemed intimidating at first to Ayumi although in a way he looked sweet. For some reason the strangest of pokemons amused Ayumi. Probably because to look at interesting ones like these up-close were new to her, so she let out a small grin down at the light from below then brought her head back at the other trainer's face. Almost forgetting to respond she replied with a quick,
"Oh!" Like as if coming out of a trance and nodded at the girl to show her of her listening. A amused person she was, a social butterfly like the girl, she was not. "Y-Yeah, I could t-tell... I-I'm just happy he wasn't g-going to hurt me or s-something...." She looked down at the dark terrain silently before speaking again. "B-Both your pokemon are ah..er.. Interesting... I g-guess I should give a introduce to m-mine then too, r-right...?" Musing herself by lifting up her Chinchou slightly for them three to see, she watched as it smiled blankly literally forgetting what happened about 5 minutes ago, merely letting out small noises to greet the thrice in front of him. "T-This is Keichi." She said lightly. It kind of sounded like she was showing a item to school for show and tell, and as she turned behind her to show more view for her companion, getting ready to show the bigger surprise. "A-And that's B-Blaze..." Noticing his apathetic behavior to the introduction she sighed trying to give him the 'Don't do that... face and as a reply he stood straight and tried to be more 'presentable' and less rude. Note, that this Aracanine only trusted the Nakamura family, and the other three were no excuse.
Tturning back towards the girl, she chuckled nervously at her response. Kinda was only placed in Ayumi's mouth to make her feel less nervous and obviously it wasn't doing any good help, and as much as she'd love to say, Honestly I don't know where i'm going, she'd feel slightly embarrased and anyway she wasn't really sure if they knew the way either if she didn't care about running all around chasing her Victor all around the cave; either that, or she knew exactly where she was at the moment.
But before Ayumi could really ask the other trainer, the girl beat her too it. She was lost, and now requested they could travel around the cave together. Cornering her eyes at the Arcanine behind her, she saw the Arcanine glare at her (more protective then fearful) then she looked back at the trainer's dashing grin. Now Ayumi didn't really mind it, she actually wanted to be with someone at the moment (it was scary in a place like this and more the merrier) but she was unsure how long it'd take to get out... "U-Uh...I... Think that would be ...O-Okay. M-Maybe if we help eachother one of us w-will probably find the way... V-Victor sounds pretty useful..." She tried to grin again subtly after hearing the trainer's name. "I-...Nice to m-meet you too, M-Marie.. I'm A-Ayumi..."
At least she know knew all of their names. Each minute they were talking Ayumi felt less and less stressed with her and more and more comfortable that now there was going to be as she said, 'six heads, instead of three'. She now had a 50% chance more of getting out less of the time she expected. The only thing she was worried about was the 50% that meant getting stuck in here for even more hours because of getting distracted. "I-I don't e-even remember where I-I came from..." She looked to the side. Maybe that way...? Or did I go left? Right? Diagonal? Honestly Ayumi wasn't the best of keeping memories.
"O-Oh then that probably means we shouldn't go that way... A-And c-cold? N-No i'm o-okay....Thanks for the of..offer though. I-It looks like Horace anyway c-can help with that too....Also Blaze if he n-needs to be of assistance."

Was interesting a good thing? Oh, well, it had to be if they were at least getting paid attention to! If they were uninteresting then no one would take them seriously, would they and it would be a terribly big shock for people when it turned out that they were serious. About some thins, at least. "Oh! I'd love it if you would," she interrupted, on cue hopefully. It was one of Marie's bad habits. If she was silent for too long she was sure that people didn't think she was taking part in the conversation anymore. It meant she was wonderful at dinner parties though, all those nods and 'hmms' and 'hrms', small talk was most definately her thing.
Victor went from being silent to whistling again as the Chinchou was introduced, bumping against her shoulder with all the energy of a small child realising that something else was being given the attention he deserved. She batted at him, forcing a coo at what she knew was a water pokemon. Electric, as well though! It sort of made him slightly more...Erm. Oh bother! He was just so fishy. She was sure he was wonderful but he was a fish! A fish. The Arcanine - Blaze - she could deal with much better. Giggling slightly she curtseyed to him, battering her eyelashes. He was just so stiff! He reminded her of those old men who were always disapproving of a bit of colour. Well! She didn't disapprove of him so there was nothing for them to worry about.
"It's a pleasure to meet you both!" she said formally, face as serious as she could get it before she burst out giggling and smiling again. Who said she couldn't be serious when she wanted to? Ha! Victor rolled his eyes - or at least gave the impression of it - before rolling forwards in a mocking curtsey himself, sticking his tongue out to complete the picture before darting out of the way of waving hands. The Arcanine was getting too much attention. What did he have, any way? Marie shushed him, pouting. He was going to ruin things for them! They'd just found new friends and he was mocking them! Or one of them, and he was the biggest one of the lot! It was not her fault if he got himself beaten up for it.
"Well! That's a plan!" she cheered, clapping and standing straighter. Yay! Now they had to find a way to go and everything would be fantastic! They had more than enough brains between them to figure this out! "Ayumi! What a wonderful name!" But now they had a simply horrible problem. Marie huffed, nibbling on a finger nail as she peered around the trio in front of her to see the path. Or three paths, rather. Three...Oh bother. Now they had to make a choice and she really did have no idea which one to choose. If Ayumi couldn't remember..."Horace! Ember, if you'd please lovely," she suddenly exclaimed, "One down each path if you could!" That should give them enough light to look a bit better down them, at least, and then they could send Victor down off one! How wonderful!
The Macargo sighed, pulling himself forwards to move around the other girl and the bigger dog. Use ember, she says, light up the corridors, she says. Not one thought for how long he'd ben trudging along the ground in front of her, oh no. Without any regard - or at the least very little regard, knowing the Arcanine could put up with a small singe and the girl should have had enough sense to move out of the way - he made his way forwards. "We'll be able to see more then!" If it didn't blind them for a moment first. "Come on Horace!" There was moment pause before a flare of light that had Marie squinting. Oh, well...Perhaps not such a good idea. "I'm sorry! It seemed like a good idea," she wailed, blinking back the spots in her vision as she waved her hands. She'd ruined things! Victor just whooped, flying off quickly after one of the dots of fire. The left corridor, as it happened.

"Y-Yeah, it's n-no problem..." Ayumi fidgeted her finger slightly at the other's laughter. Having to hear the sound echo in the dripping dark cave made her slightly nervous how open it was, but Ayumi hid it quickly with another weak gleam chuckling back. As the trainer was still persisting in hearing the girl's continous chirping, Chinchou was busy watching the ghost's movements. He wasn't much frightened or cautious as the other two was, so he giggled slightly letting out a few, 'Chinchou~ Chinchou~' sounds to show his contentment at the meet. The pokemon didn't have a good memory, really. Almost forgot that the Ghastly was the one who ran up to them and scared them.
Although on the other hand, Blaze was sharing a different story. Even with Marie's humble manners to courtesy at him he scoffed at both of them, which made Ayumi turn to him and sigh. There just had to be something he felt wrong about to anything Ayumi met, which made Ayumi displeased sometimes with him; He was basically just his father, in Pokemon version. However not much surprise since the Arcanine was first originally his anyway. Going back to face the way of the other trainer's direction, Ayumi tried to remove the attention from Arcanine by nodding with a more amicable gleam. She didn't want them to get the bad image of the team, and Blaze wasn't really helping that. "Y-Yes hopefully w-we'll both help e-eachother get out w-with our er... T-Teamwork.." Even if, Ayumi didn't have good experience with using pokemon for things like this she would still try. The other seem so motivated on going, she didn't want to seem like a bad sport. Nodding again to the plans, she looked back at the paths and sighed, childishly. Ah, this was troublesome. Ayumi hadn't even a clue where those paths came from!
But when the Magcargo begin to 'set more light' in the corridors Ayumi suddenly covered her eyes, backing away from the Magcargo, almost blinding by the fire. E-Eh! And for a moment before the sudden darkness begin to fade away in her corneas she looked at her surrounding to go back and trace Marie. "W-Wah i-it's alright....Did it...Did it work? Shaking her head, obviously, it did not. The only thing she saw now was a Ghastly troll of to the left of the corridor as quick as he could. Unsure what to do she nodded her head at Blaze's to be ready to follow it. Blaze, hesitating for a moment, gritted his teeth before taking lead right in front of the cave entrance, before nodding back scratching on the ground to mark their location. "He p-protects me all the time s...so he can make sure we don't...f-..fall into trouble or anything."
As for Ayumi she smiled blankly at the Magcargo as her vision was now fully clear. "A-Although...T-Thank you for t-trying Hor...Horace." Stepping up behind her she mumbled into the Chinchou's ears for a simple command as Charge watching the Chinchou's antennas illuminate more brightly before, wincing a second at the light, before turning at the other. "Ow...A-And i-i'm sure K-Kei can help alot too..."

Oh, that was just going splendidly so far, wasn't it. Marie huffed slightly, more upset at herself than Horace (though she did glare at him slightly through the spots in her vision, just for the sake of it). She hadn't had the sense Ayumi had been gifted with to close her eyes. It was a wonder her eyes hadn't been perminently destroyed, but they hadn't because she could still see blue round the dots and that always meant she could see agian after staring at something bright. Like the sun, for example. If that hadn't killed her eyes than a little fire from Horace was hardly going to do the job, was it? No!
She sniffed slightly. "Yes, teamwork!" That meant there'd be a much greater chance of things going right and a better chance of things going to plan next time! She really did have to get out of the habit of trying to impress new people, really she did. It never got her anywhere. Well, there was that one time where she managed to get into that room...Not that it really counted but it had gotten her somewhere. Sophia hadn't been too happy about it though. Which was most certainly why she wasn't out now! Because she'd get terribly upset and she'd go all motherly on her. It was terribly adorable if a little restraining, but now was not the time.
"It doesn't seem like it has," Marie sighed, pouting again, her huff momentarily forgotten. Even if Victor was off chasing ghosts. Mostly in caves you got rock type pokemon, so it was hardly ghosts, she told herself quickly, straightening with barely a glance towards the dark corridor. Mainly rock pokemon. "But I'm sure Victor will find something!" Most likely a rock pokemon. She giggled slightly to herself before shuffling forwards, slower than she would have done had she been by herself. Had she not met up with the girl in front of her she'd probably still be racing around like a mad thing, scrambling over rocks and hitting thins blindly. But now she had someone who had a living light bulb and everything was going to go splendidly!
"He seems wonderful!" she cooed, much happier with complimenting the Arcanine than the Chinchou. To be honest she'd rather have a protective pokemon than one who deliberately led her into trouble...Right, Victor? The Gastly shrieked further down the corridor and she smiled. "It's clear!" The shriek wavered. "And colder," she warned, pouting again. Really? Did they have to take the colder corridor? Well, it looked like they were. She hovered behind the trio for a moment before humming and following, Horace sliding into action with her. Slightly more reluctantly, it did have to be said. It was terribly smart of the Arcanine to mark where they were. They'd know not to take that corridor again if they came to it! How exciting this was! Like getting stuck in a maze!
Horace wheezed in response to the not-Mistress, head down, eyes half closed. At least she appreciated him, then. "He'll probably be a lot more helpful than Horace! He's much brighter," Marie chirped, nodding and stumbling along the path left by the Macargo. It warmed her feet, which were so terribly cold.

To the other girl's gestures, Ayumi could nod. Ah, content that there was someone going to be with her, but to be honest, Mrs. Marie didn't seem much of the 'serious' type to her. Despite that Ayumi wasn't much as serious either she was still of unsure if being accompanied by her would get her out any faster if she was alone; but like the girl said, six heads were better then three, right? So Ayumi kept hope and nodded once again at the other. The last nod wasn't really making sure of anything with the other, but really just reassurance to herself that everything was going to be alright. Although the mentioning of her 'precious' Victor finding something ahead of them, began to make her worried, so first she looked at the girl strangely, then started to speak.
"I-I-- ... W-Well let's hope h-he doesn't..." She stared down at the slippery ground momentarily. Of course it's to be expected they'd end up crashing into at least one wild pokemon, they were in a cave, obviously. They would end up either fighting a ground or rock pokemon, but Ayumi either way, was still nervous. She already disliked being in a dark cave full of them, she didn't want to encounter them anytime soon. But if they did, she was prepared because she at least had her wonderful Keichi since he was a water pokemon; she read somewhere they were powerful against the types of pokemon that lurked in caves. "O-Or at least let's hope he finds something ...em... G-Good. L-Like the exit out here..."
After hearing her Arcanine huff at the girl's reply, Ayumi let out a couple 'Mm, Mm, A couple minutes before hearing the gastly's call. "Y-Yeah, w-we all seem to have a g-good team for g-getting out..." Now that Ayumi thought more about it, it was true, actually. Victor searching too see if there's dead-ends, Blaze to protect them from whatever pops out, Keichi to spread light so everyone can see, And Horace for well--at least he tried to light up the place, so she was thankful for that. If Ayumi was still walking alone, they'd probably be going through circles now that she thought about it, so there was optimism in the case of running into Marie. And once she said it was clear, it was only just more relief that Marie put in Ayumi's mind.
"A-At least it's c-clear..." She cheered her slightly, with a little gleam. Oh, maybe it was just the optimism rubbing off from Marie that made Ayumi a little happier, but still she was optimistic it was clear. As her Arcanine stepped following the cleared path, she shivered. Now she felt the coldness coming in. "Ah, although I dislike i-it being t-t-this, c-cold..." She could even feel her teeth chatter. Weren't caves suppose to be warm enough for bears to sleep in? This one was only full of dripping water and cold climate, it confused her very much so. Gazing down at Horace she smiled at it momentarily before going back up to hear the other's response. Yes, she was right there. Kei could always lighten up a room, literally. But that was because he was a electric pokemon, and Horace was a fire one. Though continuing to walk as she felt the leftovers embers from Horace at before she felt better feeling herself more warm. "Y-Yes but... A-At least Horace gave us s-some warmth t-to walk a-along...H-He'll be hel...helpful when w-we need to k-keep l-less col...colder." She smiled half-heartly at the other before shivering again. Blaze could have done the same but would have most likely ended up burning down the whole cave with his 'warmthness'. So maybe Horace had a good use after all, as well with the team.
