He is more of a 'guardian/best friend' then he is a 'battle pokemon' and was brought with her for that specific reason. He is a wise leader for Ayumi and even sometimes gives her advice on what to do.

Personality. Keichi is very ditzy and clumsy. Although he does what he does in a good way, he usually messes up alot and that involves battling as well and can lose attention sometimes very quickly in battles.
